Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring accurate tax compliance, managing workflow, and providing expert guidance on tax-related matters. The Senior Staff Accountant will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, stay current with tax updates, and coordinate with clients and internal staff to meet deadlines efficiently. Responsibilities

• Prepare various tax returns while ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
• Review returns prepared by tax staff and interns, monitoring workflow to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct tax research as assigned, staying informed of recent updates and changes in tax laws.
• Advise firm personnel and clients on relevant tax updates and implications.
• Maintain client contact, monitor due date listings, and ensure all deadlines are met effectively.
• Manage the workflow of tax staff and interns, providing guidance and addressing questions as needed.
• Assist with administrative duties related to tax processes to support overall team efficiency.
• Oversee and approve client payroll processing and related quarterly tax payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Experience

• 4-5 years' experience in public accounting or a similar role with a focus on tax preparation and review.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff or interns is preferred.
• Proficiency with tax software and related accounting tools is highly desirable.
